💛 Helping Build a Brighter Future – Together 💛
We were truly honoured to play a small part in something much bigger last week – DIY SOS: The Big Build for BBC Children in Need , supporting The Joshua Tree , a charity that helps children living with cancer and their families.
Partnering with our longstanding friends at Kirkwood Timber Frame, we helped deliver vital timber frame kits to the site with precision, speed, and heart – all as part of this ambitious, life-changing project.
The build was nothing short of remarkable – a community effort powered by volunteers, trades, and companies across the UK. Together, we helped create a lasting space where children facing unimaginable challenges can feel supported, safe, and seen.
A huge thank you to David Thomson and the Kirkwood Timber Frame team for their kind words and for trusting Dyce Carriers to help deliver on such an important mission.
We’d also like to give a big shoutout to two fellow haulage contractors who stepped up to help get the job done:
🚛 DCL Transport Services

🚛 J Slater Haulage Ltd

And J & G Riddell Haulage Contractors too!
This is what the haulage industry is all about — showing up for one another, lending a hand, and using our wheels to make a real difference.
📺 About DIY SOS Children in Need:
DIY SOS: The Big Build (BBC One) joins forces with BBC Children in Need to deliver large-scale community projects for charities across the UK. With presenter Nick Knowles at the helm, and powered by tradespeople, suppliers and volunteers, these special builds give crucial support to organisations helping children and young people through some of life’s toughest times.
To all involved — thank you. It’s moments like this that remind us why we do what we do. 💛
