One of the smallest of the museums and galleries in Northern Ireland, it was built during the 19th century. The Heritage Tower was once the prison home to famous Irish leaders, Wolfe Tone and De Valera. Today the Gaol exhibits artefacts and memorabilia dating from World War One to the present day.
