🚨 BEACON HILL EQUESTRIAN🚨
This morning, I received a text from a friend who had spent five hours last night with his horse, eventually ending up in a temporary stable after being unable to load his horse. He was left with very few options: call the vet, walk home, or call Beacon Hill Equestrian.
Thankfully, he chose the latter! 🙌
Despite it being a Sunday, Hugh came out to help. With some groundwork, patience and rebuilding respect, the pony loaded like an absolute dream! 🐴👏
My friend was genuinely speechless and has since messaged to say he wants to learn more from Hugh and work on rebuilding that relationship with his horse. ❤️
And this is exactly why I’m sharing this post.
We can’t always be there to help, and situations like this can be incredibly stressful, exhausting and potentially dangerous for both horse and handler.
Loading issues rarely improve by simply forcing the situation. Sometimes, we need to take a step back, understand what the horse is telling us, and get the right help before things escalate.
Please, don’t wait until you’re stranded late at night, exhausted and running out of options. Plan ahead, get support early, and have the right contacts saved in your phone.
A horse that won’t load can quickly become a serious safety risk. Having someone experienced to turn to could make all the difference.
