Japan in my Jimny My name is Chris Price. After 40 years in Japan, it is time to explore it! I worked in finance (for too long) and ran a hotel in Karuizawa (for too long).

Now I have set off in my Suzuki Jimny, by roads less travelled, to explore. Enjoy my trip!

The last few days of my six week trip basically around Tohoku. Japan is a wonderful country, but sadly a lot of it is dying of old age and young people deserting the countryside and small towns.

I found out I get on better with 87 year old Japanese than 27 year old - REASON IS SCARY. I am only 20 years younger than the 87 year old, but I am 40 years older than the 27 year old.

I met a few old friends in the last few days around Chiba and Saitama.

From Aomori, I went north spending a night in Noheji, before stopping in Mutsu, then 4 nights in Oma at the far north - including a day trip to Hakodate in Hokkaido. Now down in Misawa - big joint airbase - fortuitously timed with a matsuri.
