Three AOCs. One AIR ONE team. 🌍✈️

Moldova started the journey. Romania followed. And our UK AOC is the latest piece of the puzzle.

Together, our AOCs give us more flexibility to connect markets and support our customers wherever they need to go.

Here’s a look at where our UK AOC can take us. 👀

Three weeks after the devastating 26 August floods in Nepal, more than 80,000 people remain affected. With roads completely washed away, some of the worst-hit communities can only be reached by air.

To deliver critical aid, we flew a humanitarian relief flight from Kuala Lumpur to Kathmandu on 13 September. Getting food and medicine on the ground required navigating intense logistical hurdles at the constrained, single-runway airfield. Because of Kathmandu's high elevation, we had to cap our payload at 80 tonnes gross. We sourced, leased, and carried our own towbar just to ensure the aircraft could push back.

Securing diplomatic clearances at such short notice was a challenge, but every effort was worth it to ensure this vital cargo reached the families who need it most. Our thoughts are with those affected in Nepal ❤

Vietnam to Brazil. 95 tonnes on a single 747 freighter.

On Monday 31 August, an AIR ONE Boeing 747-400F carried 95 tonnes of telecommunications equipment from Hanoi, Vietnam to Viracopos, Brazil. The charter was operated on ER-BAM for JAS Forwarding.

Vietnam is now home to the manufacturing facilities of several global technology companies, and its high-value export volumes are growing accordingly. Latin America is moving in parallel, with demand from our customers extending well beyond e-commerce.

Ilya Gavrilin, Business Development Director APAC, AIR ONE, states "Vietnam has become one of the most important manufacturing origins in Asia for high-value technology exports, and demand to move that product beyond the usual trade lanes is growing. Getting 95 tonnes from Hanoi to Brazil is what a 747 freighter is for. We were glad JAS Forwarding trusted us with it, and we look forward to doing more together."

The Boeing 747 freighter remains an iconic and vital heavy-lift workhorse in the global air cargo industry.

Combining an exceptional payload capability, long-haul range, and it's nose loading door means it has more than earned its place in our fleet.
