The National Children’s Air Ambulance, operated by The Air Ambulance Service, provides specialist helicopter transfers for critically ill babies and children across the UK - working alongside NHS clinical teams to get the most vulnerable patients to the specialist care they need, as quickly as possible.

There are not many places in London where you will see an aircraft of this size come and go. That is what makes The London Heliport unique - a Thames-side facility capable of handling everything from light twins through to one of the largest civilian helicopters in operation.

G-FLNG, a newly re-registered AW109S Grand, lifting from the FATO at The London Heliport.

Previously registered as G-LVLY, this aircraft turns heads for more than just its new registration - that olive green livery is hard to miss on the apron at Battersea.

A great spot and a welcome sight departing from London's only CAA-licensed heliport.

The London Heliport is well known as a gateway for private individuals, business, and charter travel. But the work we are most proud of looks a little different.

We have a long-standing relationship with air ambulance services across the UK, including the Wales Air Ambulance - a charity that attends around 3,500 patients every year and relies entirely on public donations to keep its helicopters in the air.

Several times a year, the Wales Air Ambulance crew use The London Heliport as a critical staging point for specialist patient transfers to and from St Thomas' Hospital in London. Our central Thames-side location in Battersea means road ambulances can pull directly up to the aircraft, patient dignity is preserved, and the crew can stay on the pad for as long as they need.

Battersea to Goodwood Revival - the way it should be done.

Over the last weekend, The London Heliport facilitated a significant number of movements between Battersea and Goodwood, getting passengers to one of the most iconic events on the British motorsport calendar quickly, comfortably, and without the traffic.

No motorway queues. No parking chaos. Just a direct flight over the Sussex countryside and straight into the Revival.
