šŸš‚ The GOSH Ness Monster is coming...

A Hastings DEMU heading all the way to Inverness from Tonbridge for the first time ever? Now that's a railtour for the history books!

Our friends at the Branch Line Society are running another charity rail tour with Hastings Diesels Ltd this bank holiday weekend, from Friday to Sunday.

This special three day adventure will raise funds for our charity partner, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, with photo stops, rare track and an unforgettable journey north. šŸ’™

Last weekend, we sent some of our rolling stock down to the Swanage Diesel Gala, including 73141, the LU 4-TC set and the star of the show — one of our new Class 99 locomotives, 99004.

It was a first chance for many people to see one of our Class 99s in action, including hauling passenger coaches ahead of the fleet entering commercial service this summer.

As well as showcasing the locomotives, GBRf volunteers also helped raise an incredible £13,000 for GOSH.

Thanks to Chris Playfair and others for the brilliant photos šŸ“ø

If you captured any great shots of GBRf locomotives at Swanage, send them to us via the link in our bio!

Our Class 99s have reached two important milestones.

āœ… has granted us an Interim Statement of Compatibility, allowing the fleet to operate across Britain’s rail network.

āœ… The first six Class 99s have been accepted into our fleet, enabling driver training to scale up ahead of entry into service later this summer.

Here’s a great shot by Anthony Middleton of five of them, ready for service.
