If you’ve been dreaming of studying, researching, or teaching abroad in Europe, here’s an amazing opportunity! The Slovak Republic is offering fully funded scholarships under its National Scholarship Programme (NSP) for the academic year 2025.
This programme supports Master’s and PhD students, university teachers, researchers, and artists from all around the world (except Slovakia).

• Fields Covered: All academic disciplines, research areas, and artistic fields.
• Duration:
• Students: 1–2 semesters (4–5 or 9–10 months) or 1–3 trimesters.
• PhD students, teachers, researchers, artists: 1–10 months.
• Funding Provided:
• Master’s students: €620/month
• PhD students: €1,025.50/month
• Teachers, researchers, artists: €1,025.50 – €1,470/month (depending on experience and PhD status)
• Travel allowance (students/PhD only): €0 – €1,500 (based on distance)
• Medical exam reimbursement (non-EU/EEA, stays >90 days): Up to €250

✅ Eligibility Criteria
University Students
• Must be enrolled at a university outside Slovakia at Master’s level (or equivalent).
• Have completed at least 2.5 years of university studies in a similar programme.
• Must be accepted for study at a Slovak higher education institution (public, private, or state).
PhD Students
• Pursuing PhD or scientific training outside Slovakia.
• Accepted by a Slovak higher education institution or research organization (e.g., Slovak Academy of Sciences).
Teachers, Researchers, and Artists
• Must be invited for teaching, research, or artistic stay by a Slovak institution.
• Must have a certificate for research and development (not just a business company).
