What if the journey was just as memorable as the destination? 🚂🏔️

I’ve had a few clients asking about Rocky Mountaineer lately, and I completely understand why.

Panoramic mountain views, beautiful onboard dining, and the chance to slow down and actually enjoy the journey.

And personally? I’d make a whole vacation out of it. Think Banff, Lake Louise, and Vancouver.

Because sometimes getting there is half the experience.

October's Destination of the Month: Costa Rica 🇨🇷

Here's the thing about Costa Rica…there isn't really ONE Costa Rica vacation.

You could spend your trip surrounded by rainforest, chasing waterfalls, spotting wildlife and actually wanting to put hiking shoes on. 😂

Or you could head toward the coast, check into a beautiful resort and spend considerably more time staring at the ocean.

And while you can combine different parts of the country, Costa Rica is one of those places where I don't necessarily want to cram everything into a one-week trip.

Things are much farther apart than they look on a map, and I'd rather you spend your vacation experiencing Costa Rica than constantly traveling through it.

If we have two weeks? Now we have a lot more room to play👀

But for a shorter trip, I'd rather figure out which Costa Rica fits you best.

Adventure? Beach? Wildlife? Incredible resort? A little bit of everything without trying to see everything?

That's where I'd start.

I recommend Hotel Indigo Rome – St. George all the time, and this is exactly why...Is it the fanciest hotel in Rome? No....

Is it the fanciest hotel in Rome? No. You have The St. Regis, Hotel de Russie, Hotel Eden…there are some seriously beautiful hotels in this city.

But here's the thing.

When I'm in Rome, I want to be in ROME!

I don't want to constantly call a car or plan transportation just to go sightseeing or grab dinner. I want to walk out of my hotel, wander down a cobblestone street and actually feel like I'm in the middle of everything.

And that's exactly what I love about Hotel Indigo.

You're on Via Giulia in the historic center, with Piazza Navona, Campo de' Fiori, Castel Sant'Angelo, the Vatican and Trastevere all nearby.

The hotel has character, the location is SO good, and after walking around Rome all day, you can come back and have a cocktail on the rooftop. Which, obviously, I thoroughly researched😂

That is luxury to me.

Not always choosing the fanciest or most expensive hotel.

Choosing the one that makes your trip better.

“Where should we go for Spring Break?”

My answer is almost always...it depends😂

Does your family want to spend the week at an incredible resort? Explore the destination? Zipline through the rainforest? Try new restaurants? Have nonstop activities for the kids? Or check into an all-inclusive and make approximately zero decisions for seven days?

Mexico, Aruba, Costa Rica, Turks & Caicos and Punta Cana can all make for incredible Spring Break trips — for very different families.

That's why I don't start with “What's the best resort?”
I start with your family.

Because the resort everyone on Facebook says is “the best” might not be the one I'd choose for you 😉

There are too many places I haven't seen yet, too many foods I haven't tried, too many streets I haven't wandered and way too many hotels sitting on my someday list😂

I don't think I'll ever be someone who's “done” traveling.

And I hope I'm not.

I've finally figured out my travel personality!

Boujee enough for afternoon tea. Outdoorsy in a very specific way.

Give me the hike, the mountains, the cobblestone streets and somewhere I've never been.

I just also want a beautiful hotel, a really good dinner and a comfortable bed waiting for me afterward. 😂

Apparently I want adventure... with amenities.
