💚 Why Community Matters to JOD Group

As an independently family-owned business trading for over three decades, we understand the importance of strong communities.

Our recent support for Parnells Youth GFC U13 is one example of how we are working to create meaningful social value beyond our day-to-day operations.

By contributing towards the team’s annual trip to Sneem, County Kerry, we helped 24 young players take part in a weekend of competition, development and shared experiences. The boys returned as winners of the Alan O’Connor Shield, but just as importantly, they returned with greater confidence, closer friendships and memories that will stay with them.

We recognise the enormous contribution made by volunteers, parents and coaches such as Tim Cooney, who give their time to create opportunities for young people.
Supporting grassroots organisations is not about placing a logo on a kit or banner. It is about investing in the people and communities around us.

⭐ Learning From the Best

The Parnells Youth GFC U13 trip to County Kerry was about much more than playing matches.

As part of the experience, the boys attended a training session at the Kerry Centre of Excellence in Currans, where they had the opportunity to learn in an environment associated with one of Gaelic football’s most respected counties.

They also met current and former Kerry players, including Darragh Ó Sé, Tom Spillane, Adrian Spillane and Seanie O’Shea.

For young players, moments like these can have a lasting impact. Meeting people who have performed at the highest level can encourage ambition, reinforce the value of hard work and show what dedication to a sport can achieve.

Under the guidance of coach Tim Cooney and the wider Parnells team, the boys returned to London with new experiences, stronger friendships and plenty of inspiration for the season ahead.

We were delighted to help support a trip that combined competition, learning and memories the players are unlikely to forget.

⚽ Supporting the Next Generation

At JOD Group, we believe being part of a community means more than simply operating within it.

We were proud to support Parnells Youth GFC U13, a North West London Gaelic football team based at Harrow Rugby Club, as they prepared for their annual trip to Sneem, County Kerry.

Our contribution helped towards the cost of giving 24 young players the opportunity to travel, compete, develop as a team and create memories together away from home.

Grassroots sport plays an important role in building confidence, discipline, friendships and a sense of belonging among young people. We are delighted to support the work of coach Tim Cooney, the wider Parnells team and everyone who helped make the trip possible.
