Westmount lights up tonight!
There will be Mulled Wine served along with samples and offers from various shops. Carol singing at 5:30 outside the Labour Party office.
Father Christmas will be in attendance with sweeties galore.

We are delighted to announce that comedian, actor and writer Helen Lederer will be switching on the Christmas Lights on Westmount Road tonight at 6pm.
Helen, who grew up in Eltham, recently gave a very entertaining talk at Etham Libary to a packed house. She spoke of her career as a female comdeien trying to break into a very male dominated industry.
Her story is hilairiously detailed in her new book Not That I'm Bitter described by Joanna Lumley as "Funny, adorable and thought provoking in equal measure" while Ben Elton decribed the book as "Funny and wise and brave, just like its author"
Signed copies of the book will be available to purchase tonight.

WESTMOUNT LIGHTS UP

Organised by Westmount Road Independant Traders (WRIT) there will be Carol Singing with the Westmount Trichurch Choir at 5.30pm, lights will be switched on at 6pm. Father Christmas will be in attendance with sweets for the children and Mulled Wine will be on offer along with offers and discounts from other WRIT members.

This Thursday 1st December. Carol singing starts at 5.30pm outside The Labour Party office. Mulled Wine served outside The Long Pond, Crepes from Chex Maitre, Tasters and discounted deli items at All In a Pickle, Elf on The Shelf photo fun and Ice Cream van at Tinys Salon, discounted Christmas Wreaths at Westmount Flowers. Live music, Choirs from the 3 Churches on Westmount Road and Deansfield school pupils. Father Christmas will also be doing his rounds with plenty of sweets to give away. Lights switched on at 6pm by Mrs Patel in memory of her late husband who served the community for over 25 years at Westmount Post Office.

Westmount Lights Up!
Our “Lights-Up” event is back!
As usual it is on the first Thursday in December; this year the 2nd.
We start off at 5:30pm with the Westmount Trichurch Choir singing Christmas Carols out side the Labour Party office on the corner of Greenvale/Westmount roads.
At 6pm the lights will be switch on by Eastenders character “Zack Hudson” Zack is of course played by local actor James Farrar. James has also appeared in Hollyoaks, Doctors and Silent Witness.
Once the lights are on a Childrens Choir from Deansfield Primary school will perform outside Tinys/Yak and Yeti.
Participating businesses will be offering samples and discounts on the night. The ever popular Ice Cream van will be outside Tinys’ salon.
Father Christmas will be doing the rounds distributing sweets to the children, young and not so young.
There will be live traditional Christmas songs from Kent’s popular Folk Duo Alan&Linda.
There will be burgers provided by Westmount Road Independent Traders served by Westmount Kebabs (while stocks last).
We are again running a Christmas Raffle with a top prize of a bundle of £25 vouchers for various Westmount Road business. Tickets are £2.50 a strip of five and can be purchased from participating shops from 24th November. The draw will be on Sunday 12th December in The Long Pond at 2pm.
We look forward to seeing everyone on the 2nd December for what is always a most enjoyable evening.

Thank you to everyone who turned out tonight to make the 3rd Westmount Lights the best ever. It was so lovely of Sally Lindsay to accept our invitation to "Push the button". The Westmount Traders appreciate that the people of Eltham Park and beyond support the local shops in Westmount Road and show this by putting on excellent night tonight with Mulled Wine, Burgers, Ice Creams etc being offered and above all an independent Lights Up which is funded by Westmount Road Independent Traders (WRIT).
