Global Ports Holding has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines to enter into exclusive negotiations regarding the management, development and operation of SVG Cruise Port.

The proposed partnership reflects a shared vision to strengthen cruise tourism through infrastructure investment, operational excellence, enhanced guest experiences and sustainable destination development.

As Mehmet Kutman, Chairman & CEO of Global Ports Holding, noted:

“St. Vincent and the Grenadines is a beautiful and strategically located destination with tremendous potential. We look forward to working closely with the Government and local stakeholders to support national development, strengthen the destination’s cruise offering, and help create lasting value for the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.”

Global Ports Holding and ASIPONA came together at Seatrade Cruise Global in a follow-up discussion on Acapulco Cruise Port, building on the previously announced 24-year concession agreement.

Mehmet Kutman, Chairman & CEO of GPH, Mike Maura, GPH Regional Director Americas, and Admiral Raymundo Sánchez, Director General of ASIPONA, reflect on the shared vision behind the project and the collaborative approach driving its next phase.

The conversation highlights key themes already outlined in the concession announcement, including phased development plans, infrastructure enhancements, improved passenger flow, and the introduction of new shore-side and commercial experiences to support the destination’s long-term growth.

With continued alignment between GPH, ASIPONA, cruise line partners and local stakeholders, Acapulco Cruise Port is progressing as a coordinated, long-term development project within the Pacific and Mexican Riviera cruise network.

Global Ports Holding has been granted a 30-year concession to develop and operate Ferrol Cruise Port, marking another important milestone in the Group’s continued expansion across Spain and the Atlantic region.

The project will deliver a modern and sustainable cruise terminal designed to enhance the passenger experience, support cruise line operations, and contribute to the long-term growth of the destination.

“Ferrol represents another important milestone in our continued growth across Spain and the Atlantic region,” said Mehmet Kutman, Chairman & CEO of Global Ports Holding.

Francesc Grau, Regional Director West Med, added: “By investing in the new terminal, we aim to enhance the passenger experience, strengthen Ferrol’s position on cruise itineraries, and create lasting value for the city, the Port Authority, and the local community.”

Zadar Cruise Port is preparing for its strongest season yet, with a record-breaking 137 cruise calls from 28 cruise lines expected in 2026.
