🧬 You found a donor. But do you actually know what you’re looking at?

Most people choose based on looks or education. But here’s what actually matters for fertilisation success:

MOTILITY— MOT2 = ICSI only. MOT10–30 = IVF or ICSI. Higher motility = better fertilisation chances.

MORPHOLOGY— At least 4% normal forms (WHO). Poor shape reduces success — even with ICSI.

CONCENTRATION— Minimum 16M per mL. Premium vials: 20–40M. Low concentration is a red flag.

GENETIC SCREENING*l— Non-negotiable. Ask for karyotype, CFTR, Y-chromosome microdeletions, and carrier panel results. No transparency? Walk away.

DNA FRAGMENTATION— DFI above 25–30% = higher miscarriage risk. Most banks don’t advertise this. Ask anyway.

Real quality = MOT + Morphology + Genetics. Everything else is personal preference.
