The study, prepared by Jonathan Roberts Consulting, highlights a lack of fast, reliable public transport east of Woolwich as a major barrier to mobility, employment and investment for a population of up to 1.8 million people.

We can change that for the better!

Plans for a new cross-river tram between Grays and North Kent could transform travel, support housing growth and boost the regional economy.

We also hope for further improvement in cross river public transport that really will unlock further GVA, especially for those who opt not to drive or do not own a car but would love a well paid job on opposite sides of the river… In this day and age it’s mad that we yet do not have fixed infrastructure connecting Kent and Essex!

Gothenburg going underground with a new tram line!
