The sweet story behind Fortnum & Mason’s Hive Network 🐝

High above St. Pancras International, four working beehives provide an important urban habitat for pollinators in the heart of London 🌼🌿

These rooftop hives are part of Fortnum & Mason’s Hive Network, which brings together six beekeeping locations across London, including St. Pancras and Piccadilly. Each location produces its own distinctive honey, shaped by the plants and flowers the bees forage among. The honey from the St. Pancras hives is harvested and available at Fortnum & Mason’s store in the station, giving visitors a taste of this unique urban environment 🍯

Along our high-speed route, we also support over 20 community beehives by providing space for local beekeepers to care for their colonies.

Inspired by the working hives above St. Pancras and Piccadilly, visit the giant Eau de Nil beehive in the station arcade this summer to celebrate 100 years of Disney Winnie the Pooh✨

St. Pancras is a landmark shaped by history, architecture and artistry ✨

Today we’re celebrating Sir John Betjeman, the poet and heritage champion who helped save St. Pancras from demolition in the 1960s.

Martin Jennings’ 8.5‑foot sculpture shows Betjeman looking up at the Barlow Trainshed roof he fought to protect. His coat‑tail is shaped with a slight upward sweep to mirror the curve of the iconic roof. A thoughtful tribute to the man who helped preserve this London landmark.
