VAN DRIVER NEEDED – PETERBOROUGH / WISBECH

Listen, driver — I have a job offer for you that you will not easily find anywhere else.

We are looking for a responsible van driver to work Monday to Friday.

Job details:

Start: 5:00 AM from Wisbech
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Pay: £900 per week Self-Employed + assemblies
Work: 12–18 drops per shift
Distance: around 300–450 miles per day
Van and fuel card provided.

Pay per working day:

Day 1 – £160
Day 2 – £170
Day 3 – £180
Day 4 – £190
Day 5 – £200

Job benefits:

Travel across the United Kingdom

Days off can be taken when needed, as long as you give notice in advance
Wages are always paid on time
Van and fuel card provided
HGV-style earnings, but driving a van

Downsides:

Long working hours
You must be responsible and ready to work every agreed working day

Requirements:

Age: 25+
Must have the legal right to work in England
Full UK driving licence
Responsible attitude towards the job and the vehicle
Must be able to look after the van: at least checking oil, brake pads and the general condition of the vehicle
Report any problems on time and take the van to service when needed
Reliable, punctual and trustworthy

The most important thing is that you are responsible, reliable and able to look after the van given to you.

The job is straightforward, but there is only one position available. Previous drivers were dismissed due to lack of responsibility, so we are looking for someone we can truly trust.

Praca jest wygodna i wszystko jest jasno ustalone, ale mamy tylko jedno wolne miejsce. Poprzedni kierowcy zostali zwolnieni z powodu braku odpowiedzialności, dlatego szukamy osoby, której naprawdę można zaufać.

Svarbiausia – kad būtum atsakingas, patikimas ir mokėtum pasirūpinti tau duotu vanu.

Darbas patogus, viskas aišku, bet ši vieta yra tik viena. Ankstesni vairuotojai buvo atleisti dėl atsakomybės trūkumo, todėl ieškome žmogaus, kuriuo tikrai galima pasitikėti.

🚚 Self-Employed Van Driver Required – Long Distance UK Routes - Wisbech start

We are looking for a serious, responsible and reliable self-employed van driver. This role is not for everyone – it involves long driving hours and requires a strong sense of responsibility.

📍 Location

Due to the early start times, we are primarily looking for drivers based in Peterborough, Wisbech or the surrounding areas.

Applicants living further away will be considered only if they can reliably attend the 05:00 AM loading time in Wisbech every working day.

📍 Job Description

• Delivery of outdoor wooden furniture
• Daily loading in Wisbech
• Standard loading time: 05:00 AM
(If you finish very late the previous day, the next start may be 07:00 AM, but normally 05:00 AM)
• Loading takes around 1 hour
• Factory staff bring the goods
• Driver must position items correctly in the van and secure them with straps
• Once all drops are completed, you go home
• Next working day starts again with loading in Wisbech

🚐 Vehicle & Fuel

• 2017 VW Crafter – Euro 6
• Van and fuel provided
• All vehicle repairs and maintenance are fully paid by the company

⚠️ Important

The driver is responsible for daily vehicle checks and must report any issues immediately, including:

• Tyres
• Brakes
• Oil level
• Warning lights or unusual noises

Driving until the vehicle breaks down without reporting problems is not acceptable.

Late reporting leads to much higher repair costs and demonstrates a lack of responsibility.

🕒 Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• Start time: 04:30–05:00 AM
• Finish time: Usually between 18:00–21:00

⚠️ These are long driving hours.

If you are looking for short shifts or an easy job, this role is not suitable.

🗺️ Routes & Workload

• 300–450 miles per day
• 13–18 delivery drops per shift
• UK-wide deliveries – cities, towns and villages

📌 Routes are provided in advance and planned using GPS route planning software.

💷 Pay Per Shift

• 300–350 miles – £150
• 350–450 miles – £170
• 450+ miles – £190

🔹 Important Pay Clarification

Mileage is calculated based on the pre-planned GPS route provided before the shift, not on the actual distance driven due to detours, personal route changes or unnecessary extra miles.

The route is fixed and payment is based on the assigned route mileage only.

✅ Requirements

• Clean UK driving licence
• Self-employed status
• Responsible and reliable attitude
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• If you cannot attend work, you must inform us at least 24 hours in advance whenever possible

❌ Who This Job Is NOT For

We are not interested in drivers who:

• Fail to turn up for work and switch off their phone
• Give excuses instead of proper notice
• Want to return the next day as if nothing happened
• Do not care about vehicle condition or company equipment
