Wouldn't be without a couple of HGV's on the fleet now!
- Last week the 26t delivering IBM main frames to the case packers ready for exporting
- The 18t off to Wales to collect medical equipment ready for a white glove delivery.
- This week they will be in London for another massive desk refresh for a well known Social Media Platform.
- Few corporate events booked in for Scotland next month.
- Some more Scotland and offshore rack deliveries scheduled in after they have finished pre staging in our warehouse.

STL have just taken ownership today of these 2 HGV's. A 26t Mercedes Actros with 3t full enclosure tail lift and an 18t Antos. Both exceptionally low mileage and benefiting from full MB R&M contracts since new.

Our 12t truck left base for the last time yesterday. Off to a new home. Just passed it's MOT.

So as the week draws to a close it's with mixed emotions we say goodbye to our faithful 18t truck as she rides off in to the sunset, or should i say "run away with the circus"

Mot on 31st July for her new owner. Not that she needs it now!

New trucks arriving shortly!

Busy week to date, and despite the lovely hot weather

○ We have started a major European project for one of our USA clients. 200 servers being relocated, de racked and then re racked and stacked from Amsterdam to Stockholm, Warsaw, Frankfurt, Paris, Marseille and London.
○ Conducted an annual audit in our warehouse with Ernst & Young for one of our blue chip clients
○ It's day 3 of a 200 IT desk relocation and reconnect in the West End for one of our Dublin Clients
○ Delivered our clients AV equipment for their daily workshops - for every secondary school in the UK.

So i have a little chuckle to myself when i see businesses closing early because of some hot weather. Just a normal day for us @ Secure Transportation Ltd

Secure Transportation Ltd has seen growth year on year and it was always part of our 10 year plan to find somewhere significantly bigger and better and not renew the lease on our "LHR" warehouse. This decision was made even easier due to the very poor management of the estate and the fact the market apparently deemed it appropriate to offer renewal terms with an increase of 50% in the rent.

I will write an article in due course which may help SMB's navigate the often daunting world of leases, managing agents, landlords, solicitors and surveyors.

Although fairly low in numbers of commercial leases that we have had, suffice to say i have had to learn the hard way. If i can impart any of these life experiences and save others money and the stress, then i shall feel i have done something worthwhile.

Unit 20 was handed back in May, in far better condition than when we recieved it. Despite a £55k dilapidations schedule, i dealt with the whole process myself without a surveyor or legal representation and have settled this week at £300 plus the landlords legal costs of £2300.

This means our deposit is being returned.

Testament to all of our Team at Secure Transportation who are proud to have looked after the property and added value to it as if it where our own and who value honour and integrity over dishonesty and a very questionable moral compass.

The next chapter has already been in progress for a couple of years......onwards and upwards and a special thanks to all our staff and clients.

New van day......this one with a new Smart Tacho 2 just in time for the July 1st deadline for light commercials which have to be equipped with one for international transport.

First job in to Europe next Tuesday.

This one supplied by Renault Trucks Reading who said we are the only one that has ordered one to date!

Anyone else ordering or retrofitting older vehciles to be compliant?

"if you build it they will come".......With 2 warehouses and over 700 pallet spaces of predominantly IT equipment we took the decision early on this year to build our own pre staging area within our Farnborough warehouse. With many clients storing their equipment with us it made perfect sense to build our own caged area with a couple of 42u racks, 16amp monitored and metered power feeds to each rack so as they could pre stage their projects. These projects sometimes involve hundreds of switches and other kit. I will let you think about the benefits of being able to do this within the same location as the ones that manage the inventory.

If you would like to know more then please feel free to reach out to me for and much more!
