On Sunday 22 September, there will be extensive road closures across the City of London, Southwark and Tower Hamlets
Roads will be closed from Moorgate in the north, Aldgate High Street in the east, Tooley Street in the south and Ludgate Hill in the west
London Bridge and Tower Bridge will be closed to general traffic and delays are expected
For journeys across the capital you are advised to avoid central London where possible and use alternative routes such as the A406 or the A205

Farringdon Street - Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 August
From 07:00 on Saturday 10 until 23:59 on Sunday 11 August, Farringdon Street will be closed northbound opposite the junction of West Smithfield
On Saturday 17 and Sunday 18, there will be a lane closure with traffic flows maintained in both directions, so expect delays

Earl's Court - Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 August
From 07:00 until 20:00 on both Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 August, Earl's Court Road will be closed southbound between Kensington High Street and Pembroke Road

Redbridge roundabout - Saturday 10 until Monday 12 August
From 08:00 on Saturday 10 until 17:00 on Monday 12 August, there will be lane restrictions on the southeastern section of Redbridge roundabout
The southeastern section of the roundabout will then be reduced to a single lane between 21:30 and 05:00 on Monday 12, Wednesday 14, Friday 16, Saturday 17, Sunday 18 and Tuesday 20 August
Between 12:30 and 05:00 on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 August, there will be lane restrictions on all approaches to the roundabout
This is for junction improvement works
Westminster Bridge - Sunday 11 August until Saturday 9 November
From 21:00 on Sunday 11 August until Saturday 9 November, Westminster Bridge will be closed to westbound traffic, and Bridge Street will be closed in both directions
During these works, licensed taxis, cyclists and some buses will continue to have access on the bridge westbound
Because of these works, delays are expected on the approach to Westminster Bridge, Parliament Square and within the surrounding area
Using Vauxhall Bridge and the Inner Ring Road south of the river may mean a quicker journey for trips across London

A2 Bexley and Greenwich - Until Friday 23 August
Until Friday 23 August, there will be a series of Monday to Friday overnight closures of the A2, between Dartford Heath exit slip road, Westhorne Avenue and Blackwall Lane
Works will take place from 22:00 to 05:00 each night. There will be no restrictions at weekends
Friday night works will be complete by 05:00 on Saturday morning
Official diversion routes will be signed and you are advised to follow these for the quickest and easiest journey
Southwark - Until April 2020
Until April 2020, construction work will begin to create a continuous segregated cycle route between Tower Bridge and Greenwich

King's Road - Until 16:00 tomorrow, Friday 26 July, Kings Road will have temporary traffic signals in place in both directions at the junction of Langton Street. This is due to Thames Water works.

Clapham - Until 23:59 on Friday 2 August, Long Road will be closed eastbound at the junction of Clapham Common South Side. There will also be a lane four closure on Clapham Common South Side, and a contraflow on Long Road at the junction of Clapham Common South Side. This is due to Thames Water works.

Oxford Street - Until 16:00 on Saturday 17 August, Oxford Street will be closed westbound between Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Circus. This is due to borough works.

Redbridge - Until Monday 2 September, the eastbound slip road exit at Charlie Browns roundabout will be reduced from three lanes to two. Delays are expected, so check before you travel and leave more time for your journey. Check our status updates for real time information. This is due to Highways England maintenance works for the viaduct.

Parliament Square - From 14:30 until 19:30 today, Thursday 25 July, a group will form up for a rally at Parliament Square. Delays are expected.

ExCeL Centre - From 05:00 until 19:00 on Saturday 27 July, the first day of the London Triathlon will be taking place around the ExCeL Centre. There will be road closures between Gallions Reach roundabout and Leamouth roundabout including Lower Lea Crossing, Royal Albert Way eastbound and roads around the ExCeL Centre. Lane two on Royal Albert Way eastbound will remain closed all weekend. Expect delays in the area.

Central and east London - From 12:00 until 18:00 on Sunday 28 July, the second day of the London Triathlon will be taking place across east London. Road closures will be in place along the route and its approaches from 05:00 including Royal Albert Way eastbound, roads around the ExCeL Centre, Lower Lea Crossing, East India Dock Tunnel, Aspen Way, Limehouse Link Tunnel, The Highway, Upper and Lower Thames Streets, and Victoria Embankment. All roads west of Tower Bridge will reopen by 14:00. The remaining roads between Leamouth roundabout and Gallions Reach roundabout will reopen at 18:00.

Piccadilly - From 08:00 until 18:00 on Sunday 28 July, Piccadilly will be closed westbound between Piccadilly Circus and Duke Street St James's. This closure will also take place on Sunday 4 and Sunday 11 August. This is due to a crane operation.

Islington – From Sunday 28 July until Thursday 29 August, there will be a series of Sunday to Thursday overnight southbound closures of the Seven Sisters Road Bridge in Islington. Works will take place from 22:00 to 05:00 each night. There will be no restrictions on Friday and Saturday nights or during the day and Thursday night works will be complete by 05:00 on Fridays. You are advised to follow the official signed diversion along Blackstock Road, St Paul’s Road and Holloway Road for the quickest and easiest journey. These are essential maintenance works being carried out by the London Borough of Islington.

Kingsland Road - From 08:00 on Monday 29 July until 17:00 on Monday 5 August, Kingsland Road will be closed northbound at the junction of Stamford Road. This is due to road works.

A2 Bexley and Greenwich - From Monday 29 July until 23 August, there will be a series of closures on the A2 each week night from 22:00 until 05:00, between Dartford Heath slip road exit, Westhorne Avenue and Blackwall Lane. There will be no restrictions at weekends. Follow the signed diversion routes along the M25, A20 Sidcup Bypass and A205 Westhorne Avenue to rejoin the A2. These works are for essential maintenance and safety improvements.

Tower Bridge - From Tuesday 30 July until Friday 2 August, Tower Bridge will be closed each night between 22:00 and 05:00. This is due to maintenance works.

ASICS London 10K – Sunday 21 July
The annual event will take place with road closures to be implemented in stages from Victoria Street in the south, the Aldwych in the east, Regent Street to the north and Piccadilly in the west to facilitate the route
From 05:30, Piccadilly will be closed in both directions between Hyde Park Corner and Piccadilly Circus
From 06:00, Whitehall will be closed between Trafalgar Square and Parliament Square
All remaining closures will be implemented at 07:00, and removed by 15:00

Concerts will be taking place from 11:00 each day
South Carriage Drive and West Carriage Drive will be closed during the concerts
Between 21:00 and 23:45, Park Lane will be closed between Marble Arch and Hyde Park Corner, and the eastbound slip road from Knightsbridge to Hyde Park Corner will be closed to help with crowd control
The roads will reopen once it is safe to do so

Wembley Stadium - Saturday 6 July
From 17:00 until 23:00 on Saturday, Wembley Stadium will be hosting The Who
Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected before and after the concert

Pride - Saturday 6 July
There will be various road closures across central London for a parade
From 06:00, Pall Mall East will be closed and all traffic will be diverted through the Cockspur Street bus lane
There will also be various closures throughout Soho, including Golden Square and Dean Street
From 07:00, Waterloo Place will be closed
From 08:00, Portland Place and Langham Place will be closed
From 09:00, Regent Street will be closed between Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus
From 10:00, the following roads will be closed: Piccadilly, Shaftesbury Avenue, Regent Street St James, Whitehall, Horse Guards Avenue, Trafalgar Square and their approaches, including Charing Cross Road southbound, Strand westbound and Northumberland Avenue westbound
From 10:30, Oxford Street and Regent Street (between Mortimer Street and Oxford Circus) will be closed
Delays are expected on the A501, Park Lane and the A4, and Victoria Embankment and Waterloo Bridge

Central London - From 5 July 2019 until April 2020, construction work to create a continuous segregated cycle route (Cycleway 4) between Tower Bridge and Greenwich will begin. Work will start on the first section through Tooley Street, along Jamaica Road and to Rotherhithe roundabout. Tooley Street and Jamaica Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Expect delays on these roads, as well as when approaching Rotherhithe roundabout from the A101 Rotherhithe Tunnel and from Lower Road.
Hackney - Until 13:00 today, Thursday 27 June, there will be a series of short traffic holds throughout the Hackney area. These roads include: A10 Stoke Newington High Street northbound, Balls Pond Road, Kingsland Road, Mare Street northbound, Graham Road and Pembury Road. This is due to a cycling event. Delays are expected.

Westminster - From 10:00 until 17:00 tomorrow, Friday 28 June, there will be a march from Westminster Abbey and back again via Whitehall, Trafalgar Square and Pall Mall. Delays are expected.

Lords Cricket Ground - From 11:30 until 20:30 on Saturday 29 June, Lords Cricket Ground will be hosting the Cricket World Cup match between New Zealand and Australia, with play starting at 13:30. There will be a lane restriction northbound on Wellington Road to help with crowd control. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected in the area.

Wembley Stadium - From 15:00 until 23:30 on Saturday 29 June, Wembley Stadium will be hosting Pink. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected before and after the concert. Roads likely to be affected include the A406, A1, A40, Harrow Road, Wembley High Road and roads around the stadium.

A40 at Acton - From 22:00 until 05:00 on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 June, and on Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 July, the A40 westbound will be reduced to one lane near Savoy Circus and the A3220 West Cross Route. This is to prepare for the next stage of works for walking and cycling improvements between Acton and Wood Lane. From Wednesday 3 July, expect delays when travelling westbound during peak afternoon periods (14:00 to 18:00 weekdays). Westminster - From 05:00 until 23:59 on Sunday 30 June, Horse Guards Avenue and Whitehall Court will be closed at the junction of Whitehall Place. This is due to filming. There will also be short traffic holds on Whitehall Place.

Finsbury Park - From Sunday 30 June until Sunday 7 July, a community festival and Wireless Festival will be taking place in Finsbury Park. Large crowds are expected in the area. Seven Sisters Road will be closed between Hornsey Road and Green Lanes from 22:00 until 23:15 on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 July, and from 21:00 until 22:30 on Sunday 30 June and Sunday 7 July. Stroud Green Road will also be closed between Upper Tollington Road and Seven Sisters Road.

Homerton - From Monday 1 July, there will be restrictions on Brooksby's Walk and Homerton High Street for approximately 10 weeks. Brooksby's Walk will be closed between Homerton High Street and Homerton Grove.

From Monday 8 July, there will be temporary lights in operation on Homerton High Street at the junction with Brooksby's Walk. This is due to Cadent Gas works. Roads are expected to be extremely busy and delays are expected. For travel advice, visit our status updates.

Wimbledon Tennis Stadium - From Monday 1 until Sunday 14 July, the Wimbledon Tennis Championships will be taking place at the Wimbledon Tennis Stadium. There will be parking restrictions and delays are expected in Southfields, Wimbledon Village, Wimbledon Town Centre and the area around the Wimbledon Tennis Complex on Church Road and Wimbledon Park Road.

Baker Street - From 20:00 on Tuesday 2 July until 06:00 the following morning, Baker Street, Gloucester Place and Park Road will be closed between Rossmore Road and Marylebone Road. Traffic and buses will be on diversion. Overnight directional closures will continue in the Baker Street area until late August 2019. This is due to Westminster City Council works to complete the Baker Street Two Way scheme.

The Oval will be hosting the Cricket World Cup match between India and Australia, with start of play at 10:30
Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected in the Kennington area before and after the game
World Naked Bike Ride - Sunday 9 June
Large groups of cyclists will gather at seven separate locations (Hyde Park, Regents Park, Kings Cross, Clapham Junction, West Norwood, Kew Bridge and Tower Hill) and make their way to Wellington Arch
The cyclists riding from Hyde Park, Regents Park and Kings Cross will all merge at Piccadilly Circus
The cyclists riding from Clapham Junction and West Norwood will merge at Vauxhall Bridge
All cyclists will finally merge together at Westminster Bridge before continuing together along the rest of the route
The route will take the cyclists through Marble Arch, Park Lane, Piccadilly, Trafalgar Square, Strand, Aldwych Kingsway, Embankment, Whitehall, Parliament Square, Westminster Bridge, Millbank, Grosvenor Road, Waterloo Bridge, Lincoln Inn Fields, Wellington Arch, Regent Street and Portland Place
There are no road closures for this event, however delays are expected during the event as between 1,000 and 1,500 cyclists are expected to participate
