Don't we all love roads with hardly any cars or motorbikes? Well, here’s one of them... just hit the road at 7 a.m. and you’ll have it almost all to yourself.

I try to do this climb once a year, and it never disappoints. Starting in Prutz, it’s 40 km of climbing all the way up to 2,750 m above sea level. Yes, that’s as high as the Stelvio — but somehow, this one is still missing from most riders’ maps.

And the scenery? Absolutely unreal. A crystal-clear turquoise lake, cows grazing by the road, marmots popping up along the way, and goats casually hanging around the mountainside.

40 km. 2,750 m. Almost no traffic. Turquoise water. Alpine wildlife. And one hell of a climb.
