41 items in five groups. Eight of them are required, which means miss one and there’s no pass no matter how beautiful the property is. Every scored item on every card is tagged with how I know it: what I saw, what’s in my booking archive, what I photographed, or what the hotel told me when I wrote and asked.

And every card says how I booked the room and whether I earned a commission on the stay. Because I do, on most of them, and you should be able to see that sitting next to the score.
