Crate Brewery(E9 5EN) in Hackney Wick. A Sunday classic! Open skies, craft beer, and great pizza is waiting for me.
The audience is primarily happy young professionals, ranging from 20's to 40's. Girls are in better fashion than boys. People are laughing, drinking, eating, enjoying the canal view and the sun. Overall, the aura is having a good time with friends than a mating ground for boiling bodies. Crate has a big open space with wide tables available by the canal. The industrial look of the building and the high ceiling feels specious. It has a simple and effective bar area; many taps are running smoothly since they brew their beer. The big hall with wooden tables is suited for gatherings. They have visiting DJs on Saturdays, and in front of the bar turns into a chaotic dance floor. Sunday music was low and enabled people to have conversations; hence the big volume of the indoors turns speech into the background noise; you may have a feeling of standing in a central station. They have delicious pizza; Spicy Salami(£11.50) is my favourite, highly recommended with a pint of lager(£5.95). Their house lager tastes too aromatic for me, finishes with a flowery touch on the tongue, but you get used to it after a second pint. One of the best things about Crate is the toilets. There is an easy access urinal on the ground floor, but the real delight is upstairs, a deep corridor of cabins waiting for you. They are clean, and toilet paper is almost always available. The lifesize mirror opposite the sink makes you blow a kiss to your reflection. And check the whole outfit before you go back to the crowd. The hi-tech Dyson blowers are a must to finish the experience. This is refreshing.

Secret Boat Party!

I'm expecting carefree dancing from a good night out. I visited some of the flagships of electronic dance music, such as the Ministry of Sound, E1, Fabric and many other clubs in London, varying from basement techno to rooftop dance floors. And a few elements need to be aligned for a pleasing dancing night; good music, a great crowd and smooth venue logistics.
