We are delighted with the news that British Airways will be re-introducing a three-times-a-week service from London Gatwick direct to Cape Town from November through to March! BA will also operate a double daily service from London Heathrow to Cape Town and a double daily service from London Heathrow to Johannesburg.

Virgin Atlantic will also fly direct from London Heathrow to Cape Town this winter and continue their long-standing London Heathrow to Johannesburg route.

This additional direct airlift means that South Africa has great capacity to welcome British tourists back for some winter sun! ✈️🇿🇦🏖🥂

Situated between the Kruger National Park and Sabi Sands Game Reserve, MalaMala Game Reserve is one of the largest private game reserves in South Africa. The reserve is home to only three lodges, and 70 per cent is entirely private and not shared with any other camps. The reserve also shares an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park. The Panorama Route is often described as one of the most scenic self-drive routes in the world. There's no doubt that being in the African bush alongside wildlife and nature calms the mind and relaxes the soul! Exploring the bush on foot, however, is even more magical! Plains Camp at Rhino Walking Safaris is situated within a private concession of the Kruger National Park. It's a trails camp where guests are guided through the bush on foot by expert rangers focusing on fauna and flora. There are only four en-suite tents here, so the camp is small and intimate. The opening of The Royal Portfolio's Waterside at Royal Malewane in the Greater Kruger National Park a couple of weeks ago is one of South Africa's most anticipated property openings of the year! The 12-bedroom lodge also has a 4-bedroom villa and is perfect for families, couples and small groups. Every room features a private deck with a plunge pool and rooms are decorated with bright colours and maximalist artwork. The main lodge is elevated with fantastic views over a waterhole. The lodge is the third property at Royal Malewane and the game viewing here is pretty incredible too! 👒🐘🦒🐆🌳
