This is Hatchards.

Established in 1797 by John Hatchard this is a private bookshop on Piccadilly close to Fortnum and Mason. This is not just any other book shop. This is treasure land. It fills you with awe in every step. Winding staircases, fire-place, magnificent windows and the books make up a seductive atmosphere.
I am always mesmerised by this place. I went in few months ago to receive a book signed by Jeffrey Archer. I went in recently to collect a book that I ordered online. It has always felt magical in there.
My wish : one day I will just come in, go through the myriad of books, pick one and forget all about the world.
So when you are passing through Piccadilly next time, stop over here. Pick up a book, find a seat and let yourself get transported into a Wonderland just like Alice's. You will love the muchness of Hatchards.
