Nothing like a bit of friendly rivalry to round off the summer. 🏏☀️

Earlier this month, a team of Zodiac Maritime's finest cricket players challenged shipbrokers Clarksons to a game of T20.

The clash was closely contested, with impressive individual performances on both sides. Unfortunately, on this occasion we came up short, albeit by just two runs!

Congratulations to Clarksons for their well-deserved victory and we're already looking forward to the rematch!

Happy World Maritime Day! 🌍⚓

To recognise this year’s theme, 'From Policy to Practice: Powering Maritime Excellence', we’re shining a light on the importance of energy efficiency.

At Zodiac Maritime, sustainability is about practical action. Across our fleet, we’re investing in technologies that improve efficiency and reduce emissions, including energy-saving retrofits and dual-fuel vessels capable of operating on LNG and LPG as cleaner-burning fossil fuels offering transitional emissions benefits.

Real-time performance monitoring helps us identify opportunities to improve efficiency by tracking fuel consumption and vessel performance, supporting timely interventions and optimisation across the fleet.

By turning ambition into action, we’re helping to drive cleaner shipping and support the industry’s transition to a lower-carbon future.

As Zodiac Maritime continues to expand its fleet, it provides greater continuity and stability for our seafarers.

Our fleet comprises approximately 200 vessels, spanning containers, tankers, bulk carriers and PCTCs, including 50 newbuilds on order across fleet segments.

A growing fleet means more vessels to operate, and as a result, more roles. This reduces reliance on short-term placements, supports more stable employment, and creates opportunities to build a long-term career within one organisation.

The diversity of our fleet also gives seafarers the chance to gain experience across different vessel types, helping to broaden their skills within a consistent operating environment.

As part of his Engine Cadetship, Siddhant recently completely his six-month sea voyage on board one of our bulk carriers.

Throughout his voyage, Siddhant put his classroom learning into practice, gaining experience in marine engineering systems, machinery operations, maintenance procedures and safety protocols.

“I'm grateful to the senior engineers, officers and crew members who guided and supported me throughout the voyage. Their mentorship, professionalism, and willingness to share their knowledge played a significant role in my growth, both personally and professionally.”

Siddhant is now continuing his studies back at university as he works towards his MEO Class IV certification on his path to become a qualified marine engineer. We’re excited to see what the future holds for him in his maritime career and are proud to support his development at Zodiac Maritime.

One of our Deck Cadets recently completed his first voyage aboard one of our Pure Car and Truck Carriers, bringing him one step closer to his goal of becoming an Officer with Zodiac Maritime.

In the first year of his cadetship, Charlie has already gained hands-on experience with a variety of bridge systems, both on watch and during manoeuvring. “The tech on board is modern and seamless throughout, so everything I learned on the bridge felt completely relevant to where the industry is today.” He has also thrown himself into cargo operations, creating stowage plans and liaising with port authorities.

Later this month, Charlie will be stepping on board one of our containerships, which will broaden his skillset and help him decide which type of vessel he’d like to join when he graduates.

“The best thing about a Zodiac cadetship is the variety of vessels you get to learn on, but more than that, you never feel like you're just left to figure things out alone. Whether in person at university or at sea online, I feel Zodiac is always there to help guide and support me on my journey to becoming a 3rd Officer.”

Time off on board is an important part of life at sea, providing an opportunity to connect with colleagues and enjoy a change of pace after a busy day.

Recognising the value of rest and recreation at sea, we provide a variety of onboard facilities designed to support wellbeing and encourage social interaction.

The recreational spaces our crews share play an important role in shaping a positive onboard culture, helping to make our vessels a healthy and enjoyable place to live and work.

Today, we officially inaugurated our expanded Mumbai office, marking an important milestone in Zodiac Maritime's continued growth in India. It was a pleasure to host representatives from the Directorate General of Shipping, alongside industry and training partners who help develop the people that underpin our fleet.

Since opening in 2014, our Mumbai office has grown from a small crewing operation into a major manning and maritime support hub. Now, more than 2,500 Indian seafarers serve across our fleet, while we support the training of nearly 400 Indian cadets and trainees.

Tanuj Luthra, Chief Operating Officer of Zodiac Maritime, said: "Our expanded India Hub reflects our confidence in India’s maritime industry with its large and highly skilled talent pool, strong leadership and culture of innovation and constant development."

The Director General of Shipping (India), Shyam Jagannathan, commented, "Zodiac Maritime has made a valuable and sustained contribution to lndia's maritime sector. The expansion is a significant milestone and reflects the organisation's long-term vision and commitment to India."

We look forward to continuing to build maritime talent and strengthening our presence in India in the years to come.

Food should never only be seen as fuel. It should sustain the body and steady the mind.

We recognise that quality food helps our seafarers cope with the demands of daily life onboard. It supports physical health, boosts energy, improves sleep and ultimately contributes to high performance. At Zodiac, Oceanic provides our chefs with specialist training and high-quality provisions, ensuring nutritious, varied meals across our fleet of vessels, for our pool of 6,500 seafarers, 365 days a year.

Beyond that, we see mealtimes as a great way for our crew to come together. A gathering at the mess table offers routine and a natural environment for social interaction and community building. Diverse meal options also allow people from different backgrounds to share their traditions and learn about one another.

We believe that reliable internet access is an important part of crew wellbeing, helping our seafarers stay connected with loved ones and life ashore wherever they are in the world.

That's why we signed up to Starlink for our fleet, whose significantly higher bandwidth makes connectivity much more practical at sea. A video call home, sharing a special moment with family, or playing an online game with friends can all bring a moment of normality and make a real difference to life on board.

It's great to see another generation of a seafaring family joining Zodiac Maritime.

Today, a Second Assistant Engineer sails on board one of our tanker vessels, while his father has worked as Chief Engineer for more than 20 years in the same fleet.

"Sailing with many of the same colleagues creates a unique experience for us. I am proud that Zodiac has given me the opportunity to follow his path and continue our family maritime tradition."
