1. GDIF: 360, a dance rave round a giant tower Greenwich + Docklands International Festival
2. GDIF Greenwich Fair, two days of free outdoor circus Greenwich + Docklands International Festival
3. Q***r Frequencies, a free Black q***r music festival at East Bank Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
4. Arts Emergency, a Southbank terrace party Arts Emergency (Saturday only)
5. Young Poets with Lemn Sissay British Museum (free ticket needed)
6. Valence House summer market in a moated Tudor manor

All free to get in. A couple have optional paid extras you can skip and Young Poets needs a free ticket

Canada Water is throwing a free festival this summer and it looks properly good.

Gigs on a floating stage from 6 Aug (Norman Jay MBE on the 16th), six market weekends from 25 July, free kids workshops through the holidays, salsa nights, poetry and an open air cinema.

All free, no tickets. It gets busy so go early for the big ones.

This farm in Kent holds the largest fruit collection in the world. Over 4,000 fruit varieties on one site, around 300 of them plums, and right now you can pick them yourself.

These are two of London’s best big-screen spots, both showing the ladies’ and men’s finals.

📍 Portman Square · Summer in the Square, Marylebone, 7 to 12 July, 12 to 8pm

🎾 Ladies’ final Sat 11 July

👟 Men’s final Sun 12 July, both from 4pm

🎟 Both free, just turn up (Portman’s got deckchairs, street food and a bar)

Tip: get there early on finals day, the good spots go fast.
