NEWS: We’re delighted to announce that Skyports has received a Light UAS Operator Certificate (LUC) from the Irish Aviation Authority for BVLOS flights – the first such certificate issued by an EU regulator.

What does this mean?
In a nutshell, the LUC acknowledges that as an organisation we have demonstrated to the regulator that we are capable of self-authorising our operations without obtaining further approval.

This development is a major milestone for us as a company. As the LUC is recognised in all EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency member countries, it enables us to deploy our drone delivery service more efficiently across Europe to a market of 500 million potential customers and to meet their needs more quickly.
