With a slightly click-bait-y pic of as the thumbnail, and a sensational headline - well, it caught my attention. And I'm sharing it here as a really useful piece about the impact an already non-profitable business that is the aviation business has on people who just want a short, cheap flight.
Maybe the situation in the Strait of Hormuz will be sorted by the weekend, but I don't think so. I personally have a flight to London from Faro booked for next March with a budget carrier, and if things aren't sorted soon, I can see it being cancelled. I book early to see family and want to keep it cheap. However, as to travelling to London in addition to this, I won't be booking long in advance, unfortunately. I know that if I have to go, then it will be expensive, of course.
According to the expert in this program, the safer bet for getting a break would be to fly longer haul, 3+ hours. I will be planning for that for the foreseeable future.
