Nearly half of global container traffic passes through the waters off Sri Lanka, and the island has become one of the Indian Ocean’s most important transhipment hubs, connecting cargo bound for Europe, East Asia, and beyond.

But strategic location alone doesn’t make a port successful. It’s the people on the ground who turn opportunity into reliability.

Our team plays a critical role in making Sri Lanka a trusted link in global shipping networks by supporting efficient port calls across agency, husbandry, bunkering, logistics and specialised services. This integrated approach reduces complexity, improves turnaround times and ensures vessels receive consistent, reliable support throughout their call.

We’re proud of our Sri Lanka team and the consistency, dedication, and expertise they bring to our customers, no matter what challenges the day brings.

On 11 July 2026, ISS Malaysia proudly organised a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative at Pusat Penjagaan Kanak-Kanak Cacat Taman Megah, reaffirming our commitment to supporting our local community.

Our volunteers spent quality time with the children and caregivers, donating essential items, hosting a colouring activity, sharing chocolates, and enjoying lunch together. These simple but meaningful moments helped create a fun, inclusive atmosphere while strengthening connections and bringing smiles to everyone involved.

This initiative is a reminder that small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference. At Inchcape, we believe success is measured not only by business achievements, but also by the positive impact we create in the communities we serve. Together, we can inspire hope, spread kindness, and make every moment count.

The Panama Canal moves roughly 5% of global trade every year, but its real value isn't just the shortcut between oceans; it's the ecosystem that's grown up around it. Panama has become one of the most strategically important maritime hubs in the world, and that comes with a responsibility: every vessel that transits, calls, or bunkers here needs a team on the ground that understands the stakes.

That's where our people come in.
At Inchcape Shipping Services, our Panama team doesn't just process paperwork; they solve problems in real time, at odd hours, in complex conditions, so operators can keep moving. Last week, Simon Potter, CPO and Irem Gokmen Regional CEO, visited our Panama office to see that work up close, and what stood out wasn't a single meeting or handshake; it was the depth of experience in the room. This is a team that has spent years earning the trust of the lines and operators who depend on Panama every day. Maritime hubs are only as strong as the people running them. In Panama, we're proud of ours.

ISS Mexico had the opportunity to support the transportation of the VALARIS jack-up rig, Ralph Coffman, aboard the heavy-lift vessel Blue Marlin, operated by Boskalis, during a complex offshore operation off Seybaplaya, Campeche, in the Gulf of Mexico.

This large-scale marine operation required extensive coordination between multiple stakeholders, including the vessel owner, offshore contractor, customs and maritime authorities, marine warranty surveyors, and local service providers.

Throughout the project, our team coordinated vessel agency services, port and customs formalities, authority clearances, logistics support, and overall operational coordination, contributing to the successful ex*****on of the operation.

The project demonstrates ISS Mexico’s capabilities in supporting complex offshore and heavy-lift operations in the Gulf of Mexico and reflects our continued commitment to operational excellence, safety, and customer service.

We are pleased to share a recent milestone from our team in Jakarta. ISS Indonesia recently handled the iron ore discharge operation at the port, marking our first such call for this commodity in Jakarta.

Thanks to favourable weather conditions and excellent coordination between the ship's crew, port authorities, and our operational team, the cargo was discharged smoothly, achieving an efficient rate of up to 14,000 MT per day. This teamwork allowed us to ensure a safe and rapid turnaround for the vessel.

We are deeply grateful to our clients and local partners for their continued trust and support in making this operation a success.
