Dear Customer,
We have been advised of planned roadworks affecting access to Leeds Bradford Airport via the A658 Harrogate Road and Pool Bank.
· Road closures will impact journeys to and from Leeds Bradford Airport from Monday 18th May to Friday 29th May
· Closures will be in place Monday to Friday between 7pm and 6am
· A guide to the planned diversion routes is included below
· Please allow extra time for your journey
The closure will be in place between the Dyneley Arms/Pool Bank junction and the airport. During these times, traffic will be diverted via the A660 through Lawnswood Roundabout onto the Leeds Ring Road, then via Horsforth Roundabout onto the A65 and through Yeadon before reaching the airport. A signed diversion route will be in operation, and journeys from North Yorkshire, the North East, and Wetherby may take up to 30 minutes longer than usual.
The works are scheduled to begin on Monday 18th May and are expected to continue until Friday 29th May, with closures in place Monday to Friday between 7pm and 6am. Please note that works beginning at 7pm on Fridays will continue through until 6am on Saturdays.
Please see the attached map for full details of the closure and diversion routes. Suggested alternative routes during this period are:
From Harrogate, North Yorkshire and the North East:
via the A658 and Pool Bank, following diversion signage from the Dyneley Arms junction. Please allow an additional 30 minutes.
From Wetherby:
via Harewood and the A659 Arthington route to Pool Bank, following diversion signage from the Dyneley Arms junction. Please allow an additional 30 minutes.
From Skipton, Ilkley and Otley:
via the A65 through Menston, Guiseley and Yeadon. Please allow an additional 15 minutes.
From York and the East Yorkshire:
via the A64, A6120 Ring Road and A65.
We appreciate these works may cause disruption when travelling during these times and would strongly recommend allowing additional time when travelling to or from the airport.
