🇮🇪 Our Ireland adventure is underway! 🚐✨

We travelled from Cairnryan to Belfast with Stena Line, bringing the motorhome across for our road trip. Ferry travel is a brilliant way to explore Ireland, and Ranfurly World Travel can arrange Stena Line crossings for our clients, whether you are travelling by car, motorhome or on foot. ⛴️

Our first stop was Belfast, where we enjoyed a delicious pizza from Little Wing in Holywood before continuing south to Blackrock. We had dinner at the very lively Neptune Bar, which was extremely busy but had a fantastic atmosphere, followed by a lovely breakfast at Rocksalt the next morning. 🍕🍽️

We have enjoyed some beautiful coastal and countryside scenery along the way and are now staying at Meath Eco Park, before heading to Slane for the Luke Combs concert this weekend! 🎶🤠

Remember, we can arrange much more than flights and hotels. We can also help with ferry crossings, accommodation, attraction tickets, concerts and other events, putting everything together to create your perfect trip.

If you’re looking for a quieter side of Seattle, this is definitely it. Miles of beautiful coastal walks, beachfront cycle paths, incredible views across Elliott Bay, and a much more relaxed pace than downtown.

One of the best things is how easy it is to get around. We jumped on Lime bikes to explore the waterfront, then caught the water taxi straight into downtown Seattle in just 10–15 minutes. It’s a scenic ride across the bay and such a stress-free way to visit the city before escaping back to the peace and quiet of West Seattle.

If you’re planning a trip to Seattle, don’t just stay downtown. Make time for West Seattle… you won’t regret it. 🌊🚲☀️

Our final day in Canada couldn’t have been a better way to round off an incredible cruise.

We spent the day exploring beautiful Victoria, wandering through the colourful streets of Chinatown, spotting some unique local artwork, and taking in the stunning waterfront views. The city has such a relaxed atmosphere, with immaculate gardens, historic buildings, and plenty of character around every corner.

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly afternoon tea at the iconic Empress Hotel. From the elegant surroundings and traditional tea service to the delicious sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and beautiful pastries, it was an experience that lived up to its reputation. A perfect way to slow down and enjoy our last day ashore.

Victoria has been the perfect final port of call and a wonderful end to an unforgettable Alaska and Canada adventure. Now it’s time to head back on board with plenty of memories, far too many photos, and a few extra calories from all those cakes!

One thing that has really impressed us on Brilliant Lady is the food. Unlike many cruise lines, there are no large buffet dining rooms in the evening, instead you have a fantastic selection of restaurants, all included in your fare, each with its own style and menu.

From sharing plates and tapas, to perfectly cooked steaks, creative comfort food and incredible pizza, every meal has felt more like dining in a quality restaurant ashore than on a cruise ship.

The standout for me though was The Wake. The venison was absolutely superb, beautifully cooked and packed with flavour. It was one of those dishes that you keep talking about long after you’ve finished it and easily my favourite meal of the voyage so far.

We also enjoyed:
🍕 Freshly made pizza that rivals many restaurants on land
🥩 Perfectly grilled steaks and lamb dishes
🍖 Sticky, flavour-packed ribs
🌮 Creative and beautifully presented small plates
🥔 Tapas favourites including patatas bravas
🧄 Plenty of delicious sharing dishes and sides

The best part is that all of these restaurants are included, so you can try something completely different every evening without worrying about extra charges.

Virgin Voyages really has changed my expectations of cruise dining. If you’re a foodie, Brilliant Lady won’t disappoint.
