A very sad day for our islands today.

I read something today that really stuck with me: “When someone on the island mourns, the whole island mourns with them.” And how true that is. ❤️

Our thoughts and prayers are with all the friends and families affected during this incredibly difficult time.

A huge amount of respect goes out to all the emergency services who have been in attendance throughout the night and continue to work tirelessly today.

We are doing 2x return passenger ferry crossings for Calmac for the next couple of weeks, we have had a few enquiries about this, please note:

‼️We DO NOT manage the booking system, all bookings must be made through Calmac. We do advise that you book as some crossings may be full. ‼️

⛴️Welcome aboard this Caledonian MacBrayne..

A busy couple of weeks for the Pabbay Lass over the last while. 2 hour wildlife trips, private charters, and more recently doing a passenger ferry from Leverburgh To Berneray to cover the ferry break down. So grateful to those who stepped in to help skipper/crew over the past couple of weeks! They shifted hundreds of people (figure to follow), many, many bikes, and even took a cute kitten across the Sound of Harris to its new home! We have met so many lovely people and we’re loving doing this run!

We can’t thank the Calmac staff enough on both sides of the water for looking after us so well and keeping us right! They absolutely deserve a medal! A couple more days left of the run, we will definitely miss it!

A beautiful day for yesterday’s trip, and these guys came to play! We were also thrilled to spot our first minke whale of the season 🐋, along with some red deer and a pair of white-tailed sea eagles. 🦅

Today we had the pleasure of taking David out to complete his 80th Island to bag as he raises money for his local hospice - St David’s Hospice in North Wales.

“There are 82 islands larger than 5km area off Great Britains coast. I’ve had previously been on 64 . In my 70th year I am aiming to “bag” the remaining 18. I’ll celebrate each one by donating £20 to our local St David’s Hospice. I hope others might sponsor me? It’s a great cause to help raise much needed funds for”

🏝️This week had a few firsts for us! Our first group of Island baggers! We managed to get them on to 15 Islands in 3 days, not bad for our first time, thankfully we had the weather for it!🤩

It also included our first time out to the Monach Islands and it definitely won’t be our last, an incredible place with the most beautiful beaches😍

We haven’t opened tours up for next week as the weather is looking mixed and we’re hoping to squeeze in some shearing on pabbay in between🤞🏼
