We are a family operated, Fife based tipper haulage and plant hire company operating a variety of different makes of vehicles and trailers and are seeking to recruit an experienced, time served HGV mechanic for the repair and maintenance of our fleet of HGVs, trailers and plant.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out 4 weekly inspection, MOT preparation, servicing and repairs to VOSA standard on all makes of vehicles and trailers including attending road side breakdowns.
Hours of work Monday to Friday day shift plus Saturday mornings. A flexible attitude to overtime will be required as starting and finishing times will vary depending on work load.
Core Skills
Technical qualifications – must be time served level 3(City & Guilds/ NVQ)
Computer literate as fault finding and repair using diagnostic equipment will be required.
Minimum HGV 2/ Class C driving license
Driver CPC helpful but not essential
Able to manage own work load.
Ability to work under pressure
Complete all paperwork in a timely manner
Working as part of a long time friendly team
Carry out all duties in a safe manner
Confident with lone working
