Just completed, well almost, my longest ever boat move to Roydon Marina Village on The River Stort.
157 miles over 10 days and 162 locks.
Thank you to my team, Philip Clayton, Julia Lewis-Mills, Gavin Lewis and 2 Slice.
Working for a lovely couple who have supported and been so kind to me throughout the journey.
Thank you Canal & River Trust and Canal & River Trust Volunteers for your quick repairs and tree felling at Stoke Bruerne, Winkwell and Tottenham locks and the volunteers at all the lock flights.
I cant quite believe the journey cannot be completed, it has been the thwarted by the very last lock being closed to the marina due to low water, assisted passage requested but denied. I will return to complete when open.
Trip highlight was getting a round of applause from the crowds at Camden Locks.

Sitting it out at Stoke Bruerne waiting for tree to be cleared, worse places to be stuck, hopefully have Gypsy Rose on the move again very soon.

Update 1740, almost clear now thanks to tree surgeons, on the move tomorrow at 10am.

So good to be back boat moving, on the lovely Gypsy Rose heading from Knowle to NE London.
Thank you Nationwide Boat Sales for making the handover seamless.
Got my number 3 crewman Philip Clayton joining me this evening, lots of heavy locks ahead, hoping for volunteers at Hatton Locks today.

Nice one day boat move yesterday from Milton Keynes to Whilton Marina Ltd, thank you to the lookeepers at Stoke Bruerne who made my job a lot easier Canal & River Trust Volunteers.
Met another boat coming the other way in The Blisworth Tunnel, that's always interesting.
I am having to postpone jobs now due to canals closing, thank you to my customers for understanding, lets hope the rains come soon Canal & River Trust

Boat move from Mercia on NB Bella didn't quite go to plan, only got to diesel point before problems, alternator belt snapped, repaired, then starter motor wouldn't engage and start engine.
Thanks to Dylan from River Canal Rescue who swiftly attended and quickly diagnosed fault as well as another issue. Now awaiting repair next week. Will return to this move when all fixed.

Very pleased to get Navy Cut home for owner Nicky, the final section was on The River Wey owned by The National Trust.
Very well managed at Thames Lock where you start the River and buy you license,. A very nice ending for me on a new to me river.
Thanks to Mike Smith for your expert crewing through all the canal locks.
One day off then onto my next job, fingers crossed for some rain.

Today is the start of a long boat move from Knowle down South to Surrey, Hatton Flight just done, lucky to have met David and his family on Wormcatcher to help my crewman Mike Smith get us down.
