Small Group, Big Impact 💜

Today we were in Doncaster delivering Personal Safety & Breakaway Training to a group of frontline healthcare professionals.

While the group may have been small, the impact was significant. The session provided staff with the skills, knowledge and confidence to better manage challenging situations in the workplace.

100% of attendees rated the training as "Very Good", with feedback including Amazing, Informative and Useful.

Transport is so much more than moving somebody from A to B.

In the early hours of Friday morning, our team at UK Patient Care was called to assist Police and Hampshire Local Authority with a vulnerable young person in London who required transport to secure accommodation in the North.

For a long overnight journey like this, the environment matters. It's why we deploy experienced staff who understand how to build rapport and act as positive role models. It’s why our unmarked, tracked vehicles are fitted with adjustable lighting and sensory items to adapt entirely to the individual's needs.

Our mindset is clear: keep everybody safe, maintain total transparency for our partner agencies and deliver insights that help the receiving care teams long after our vehicle engine turns off.

Su***de Intervention Training

Su***de can affect any workplace, service, family or community. Many people want to help when someone is struggling, but they may feel unsure what to say, how to ask about su***de, or how to support someone safely in the moment.

UK Patient Care delivers Su***de First Aid Helper Training through the recognised LivingWorks ASIST programme, also known as Applied Su***de Intervention Skills Training. This is a practical, two-day, in-person course designed to help participants recognise when someone may be thinking about su***de, engage in a direct and compassionate conversation and work with them to develop a safety plan.
