When a retailer has a vision… we love bringing it to life!

When Unicorn Grocery in Manchester — a unique store packed with affordable, wholesome foods, ecological household goods and so much more — came to SL Kids with an idea for something special in their dedicated children's play space, we were ready to take on the challenge!
The brief? Create something that felt completely at home in the Unicorn Grocery environment.
So, we designed two bespoke interactive games inspired by the store itself — incorporating vegan-friendly produce, natural tones and a beautiful natural wood finish. Still in keeping with the important factors IKC equipment is known for.
And we think the finished result looks fantastic!
But a children's play area isn't just about keeping little ones entertained…
A well-designed kids' space can create a calmer shopping environment,
encourage customers to spend more time in-store & enhance the overall customer experience overall.

Featuring a custom-designed aeroplane alongside our reimagined IKC wall games and activity wheels, every element has been thoughtfully tailored to complement the airport theme, creating a vibrant and engaging environment that children absolutely love.

Since opening just a few months ago, the play area has been a huge hit with travelling families, helping to transform waiting time into play time and creating a memorable start to their holiday.
