Happy Play in Healthcare Week 2026!

This Play in Healthcare Week, we want to say thank you to the play teams, charities and supporters who work every day to make hospitals a brighter, calmer place for children. 💙

A hospital visit can feel daunting for a child, and play makes a real difference. It gives children a distraction, a sense of normality and a way to feel more at home during their stay.

We're proud to have supplied play equipment to hospitals across the UK, including:

- Dewsbury District Hospital, with thanks to My Hospitals Charity
-The Eye Centre at Southampton Hospital, home to our All Aboard Ship Play System
- Frimley Park Hospital, with thanks to Royston Shepherd and everyone at Shuffles Dance Studio

To every play specialist, fundraiser and volunteer behind spaces like these, thank you. 👏

When a retailer has a vision… we love bringing it to life!

When Unicorn Grocery in Manchester — a unique store packed with affordable, wholesome foods, ecological household goods and so much more — came to SL Kids with an idea for something special in their dedicated children's play space, we were ready to take on the challenge!
The brief? Create something that felt completely at home in the Unicorn Grocery environment.
So, we designed two bespoke interactive games inspired by the store itself — incorporating vegan-friendly produce, natural tones and a beautiful natural wood finish. Still in keeping with the important factors IKC equipment is known for.
And we think the finished result looks fantastic!
But a children's play area isn't just about keeping little ones entertained…
A well-designed kids' space can create a calmer shopping environment,
encourage customers to spend more time in-store & enhance the overall customer experience overall.
It gives families another reason to enjoy coming back!
For retailers, it's more than a play area — it's an investment in the customer experience.
And the best part? We don't just offer off-the-shelf solutions.
If you have a vision for your space, we can help bring it to life. Give us your theme, colour scheme, branding or even just an idea, and our design team can create something completely unique to you.
