The Launceston Steam Railway - a two and a half mile steam railway running through the glorious Kensey Valley, linking the historic Cornish town of Launceston to the hamlet of Newmills. Good morning all, happy Thursday. Photos today taken by me yesterday of the last train of the summer season. My favourite engine Covertcoat was on duty and this is the 4.20pm about to leave Newmills for the last day of our summer season. We are now CLOSED until Sunday October 25th - Thursday 29th Oct half term. Thank you to all our summer visitors, friends and suppliers for the support this season.

Good morning, happy Wednesday. It is our last day of the summer season, if you want to see us it had better be today! After today we will be closed until Sunday 25th Oct - Thursday 29th Oct for the half term break. Cafe, museum, gift and bookshop on site. Gates open 10.30. Good morning, happy Tuesday. We are coming to the end of the line for our summer season. We are open today and tomorrow (Wednesday) is our last day, so if you want to visit don't leave it too late. Photo today was taken by my Grandson on Sunday. Gates open at 10.30. Cafe, museum, gift and bookshop all on site.

🚂To the little person who was very upset that they lost their brand new minature Charlie engine off the side of the carriage this afternoon. We were all looking for it on the last train ride, we didn't see it on the way to Newmills BUT on the way back to Launceston station my Grandson spotted it. They went back and picked it up and it is in our shop waiting for you. Don't worry, we will take good care of Charlie until you come back and pick him up🚂

Good morning, happy Sunday. We are now on our last 4 days of our summer season. Open today 20th until Wednesday 23rd and then we will close until the October half term, we will then be open Sunday 25th - Thursday 29th October. Gates open 10.30, trains run 11, 12, 1, 2.30 and 4. We have cafe, museum, gift and bookshop on site. Photo taken by me a couple of weeks ago.

Evening all, we are adding an extra 4 days to our September timetable. We will now open Sunday 20th - Wednesday 23rd, we will then close until the October half term when we will be open Sunday 25th - Thursday 29th Oct. Also it sounds like Dorothea will be coming out tomorrow.

Good morning, happy Sunday and the start of our working week. Sunday - Wednesday. Gates open 10.30, first train is at 11 and then 12, 1, 2.30 and 4. We have cafe, museum, gift and bookshop all on site. We welcome well behaved dogs on short leads apart from in the cafe but there is seating outside under cover. I filmed Nigel loading the coal onto Lilian last Sunday.
