Worrying news

Police Scotland received more than 300 calls after threatening messages were sent to a number of schools across Scotland.

These messages are being treated as a hoax. Officers and staff from Police Scotland’s Cyber and Fraud Unit are carrying out extensive enquiries to establish the source.

Apart from our Social Work contract commitments and a few trips to the airports we have been able to maximise our extra time this week while the schools have been on holiday.

All our vehicles have been treated to some deep cleaning and additional maintenance whilst we had the time to dedicate to this without sacrificing them being off the road when needed for work.
We pride ourselves on the appearance and condition of our vehicles and although they are cleaned daily it was before the new school term in August when they last had a deep clean and it’s amazing how marks from little fingers eating school snacks, muddy wellies from school trips and a little prosecco from a girls night out can get onto the seats and into all the nooks and crannies, so it’s good to have these extra hours to dedicate to this.

With lots of forward planning we ensure other jobs are also booked in during this week to make work life a little easier. As well as our routine maintenance inspections we also had coaches heading off for annual tests, new tyres ready for the coming winter months and a visit from Vehicle Access Services to test, service, inspect and certify the wheelchair lifts fitted to our vehicles.
We also used this week to take advantage in a slight drop in the horrendous fuel costs and get all the school vehicles filled up ready for back to work on Monday.

Hopefully we have also managed to finally catch up with all the quotations for weddings and private hires we have had in the last few weeks and thank everyone for patience! Who would have known we would be booking for 2029 already!

Today our coaches have headed off to Dundee ⚽️⚽️ and we are delighted to be providing vehicles for transport in the sunshine for a beautiful wedding Cornhill Castle

New school intake registration dates for 2027 📆📚✏️

Parents of children due to begin primary school in 2027 should be aware that the registration period will be earlier than in previous years. Primary One registration has formerly been in January, but this year the registration window will be between 16 and 22 November 2026.

A Weekend of Weddings 💒🚌

Over the last two days we had the pleasure of providing transport for guests from all over the world to some stunning wedding venues ensuring they arrived safely and in comfort in plenty of time for the ceremony.

Not only transporting guests to and from the wedding day The Heron Byre, The Redhurst Hotel, Dalziel Park Hotel, Radstone Hotel, Cornhill Castle, Tinto Hotel we also provided shuttle buses to transfer guests to and from local accommodation Elphinstone Hotel and The Kirkstyle Hotel

We would like to say a very big thankyou to all our bridal parties who booked and trusted us with their guest transport requirements, we hope you all enjoyed your special day 💍🥂

We even managed to fit in a few school trips, a group heading to York for pre wedding weekend celebrations and our regular minibus and coach football bookings 😅

Now to make good use of our October School Week!

A very busy few days with South Lan Leisure & Culture Schools Sports Large and Small schools Championships at Lanark Racecourse where luckily the sun was shining, from minibuses to coaches they were all out providing transport for 12 of our local schools, well done to all involved.
In addition to cross country we had high schools visiting Biggar RFC and biggar high school and primary school visits to Langloch Farm Woodcraft, at CCI and Fir Park Corner
It’s also been a very busy week for airport transfers and heading into the weekend it’s all hands on deck for a stag weekend in York, three Friday weddings, a Saturday wedding and our coaches out to ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

They are absolute belters that the boys didn't want to take back off!
