Volvo Penta D6 - Parts after initial strip and going through the cleaning up process.
Removing the old clogged calcium debris from pipes, surfaces and mounting areas through the charge cooler system.
Everything is dipped and cleaned to make sure when its going back together its in an as new condition and the owner will not have to be worrying about this for a few years until next service interval.
The progression is coming along very nicely with this hardware.

Volvo Penta D6 Parts being fully stripped down, cleaned, refurbished and rebuilt to maintain the life of this customers boats engine.
As you can see from the Charge cooler, these strip downs are very important to the lifespan of the engine.
This is often caused by the smallest amount of sea water coming in due to corrosion on the housing where its been left without full servicing for years and seals breaking down. This is what causes the build up that can end up blocking the Cooling system and ultimately very expensive engine failure.
Here we are doing the works to keep on top of the smooth running of this D6 engine.

Boat fuel cooler off of a Volvo Penta D6 engine that is found in lots of the marine industry showing exactly why the regular service intervals are paramount and best way to keep your engine on good shape.
This is off an engine that has had the calcium flushes carried out but not been stripped down for a full and thorough clean. You can see shards on an old impellor in the second image that was stuck in the pipework.

Once all cleaned up and refurbished this will be running as intended.
