Class 1 HGV Driver – Kinross Depot Full-Time | £18 per hour | 28 Days Holiday | Health Insurance (after 1 year) | Pension

We are an expanding family-run business servicing the event industry throughout the UK and Europe. We are looking for an enthusiastic Class 1 HGV Driver to join our team based in Kinross.

This is an exciting role for someone who enjoys travel, values high standards, and wants to be part of a professional, friendly operation. You will work across the UK and mainland Europe, driving both rigid and articulated vehicles, delivering equipment to a wide variety of high-profile events and venues.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks with support from crew

• Comply with legislation relating to vehicle safety, tachographs and working time
• Communicate customer queries to the office when required
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, venues and crew
• Maintain a flexible approach to working hours, including nights and weekends (no fixed shift pattern)

About You

• Hold a Class 1 (C+E) licence and full CPC
• Willing to stay away from home when required
• Strong understanding of excellent customer service
• Good working knowledge of HGV safety and maintenance
• No unspent endorsements (except up to 6 points for speeding/parking)
• No convictions for careless/dangerous driving or drink/drug driving in the last 5 years
• Minimum 1 year’s experience in a similar role.

With a focus on delivering our clients equipment you will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for an efficient, friendly and reliable service.
In return you will receive a competitive salary of £15 per hour plus 28 days holiday plus Health Insurance (after one years service) and auto enrolment pension.
Responsibilities include: -
Load and unload trucks with assistance from crew.
Maintaining security of load when loading, transporting and delivering equipment
Comply with legislation regarding vehicle safety, tachographs operation and working time.
Relay appropriate customer queries to the office as required.
Liaise and build positive relationships with our clients, venues and crew.
Contribute to the team by maintaining a flexible approach to working hours, including nights and weekends.

We are recruiting!

We have a very hectic 2024 unfolding and are looking to recruit a dynamic and flexible HGV driver to join us. We are looking for a class 1 HGV driver, who is also happy to drive rigids, with full driver CPC and a clean license to join our friendly and reliable team based nr Kinross.

Hours are varied and unsociable with no shift pattern as we do a lot of work for the event industry both within the UK and Europe.

We are a small family team and therefore we need somebody totally dependable, good timekeeper and willing to get involved in all aspects of the business.

The role will involve time away from home and in Europe on occasions but we provide hotel accommodation if you are away for more than one night. We also offer a company pension scheme and after 1 year service you will be enrolled in our private health scheme.

We offer a good rate of pay at £15 per hour which may increase due to performance.
