Over the past few months, alongside the day-to-day work on boats around the River Dart, we've been building something new into the Simon Marine (South Devon) website. (www.simonmarine.co.uk)
A place to share more of life around the river, the changing season, projects, practical insights, and the everyday moments that come from working on and around the water here in South Devon.
Not just the work itself - but the atmosphere, local events and activities, wildlife, weather, boating life and the stories that unfold along the Dart throughout the year.
We've called it simply:
'Notes from the River Dart.'

Hopefully, it captures a little of the feeling many of us know well at this time of year - changing weather, busy riverbanks, music drifting across Dartmouth, wet weekends, warm cabins, cockpit cushions drying in the sun, and the sense that another boating season is slowly beginning.
