👉Did You Know?

Lorries can have blind spots as wide as 20 feet on the passenger side, and up to 30 feet behind the truck.
Large vehicles like lorries take longer to stop than cars, especially in bad weather.
Avoiding blind spots is not just about staying out of the way; it’s also about making sure the driver knows you’re there. If you’re in a blind spot, they might not even realize you’re there!

👉Tips for Staying Safe:

Keep your distance – Always maintain a safe space when driving near a lorry.
Avoid staying in blind spots – These areas are on the sides, front, and behind the truck.
Give extra time and space – Lorries need more time to manoeuvre, especially when turning or changing lanes.

Remember, we all have a role to play in keeping each other safe when driving.
