Autumn is here and it’s prime riding time.

But as winter approaches I’m also entering potentially the most productive time of year here.

We’ve no events or shows to distract from frame building and I’m looking forward to some quality time in the workshop, welding up some more T16 frames.

If you’re looking then now’s the time to get an order in. Let me get to work and have you ready to roll next season on your freshly made custom T16.

Don’t forget your local frame builder this winter. The riding might slow down but we’re speeding up!

I’ve been working on a titanium version of the T16 - the Ti16.

I’ve stated many times how much work I do to align my prices with the use-case of an item that we regularly ride through grinding paste and often (accidentally) launch onto rocks.

But primarily the Ti16 was a project for myself, for my birthday. And that’s the perfect excuse to throw all that out the window.

…especially as I missed my birthday.

So we’re going big. Sod it. I’ve always wanted a TVR so…I’ll just make the bike equivalent.

Size specific chainstays are a gimmick.

There I said it.

But that’s not to say that chainstay length isn’t important.

Another T16 is born

This year I’ve been making these ‘by request’. Unsure of which direction to take for the best, I let my customers guide me and ended up quite busy building them (thanks guys!).

Up to now I’ve been making the T16s in a very similar way to a hardtail. I put the front triangle together, weld it out and then put it back in the fixture along with some smaller fixtures to build the rear end before welding it. I then assemble it with a real shock and rocker link to check alignment.

It’s worked great so far but in an effort to try and reduce my lead times this may be the last one I build this way.

I’ve been working on a stand-alone rear triangle fixture and my hope is that I can keep a few rear ends stocked up and ready to go.

When you place an order, I’ll build your front end to your size, coat it, assemble and ship.

This was before I looked like I’d been sick on myself. 200 laps is gonna hardcore.

30 today almost finished me off. And I need to complete 100 during daylight hours 😬

I’m doing this for , you can find the link in my profile if you’d like to donate and egg me on 🙏
