THE MOVING CREW LTD & THE FURNITURE CREW ❤️

A few months ago, I was asked to manage a relative’s property and get it ready to be sold to help pay for her care.

We contacted several organisations and charities about clearing the house.

The cheapest quote I received was £7,000.

£7,000… to clear the home of someone who needed every penny she had to help pay towards her care.

So I decided to do it myself.

By the time I’d paid for labour, disposal fees and storage so I could properly sort through everything, it cost me around £1,200.

And that experience completely changed the way I looked at house clearances.

It’s exactly why The Moving Crew LTD now offers property clearances — because when a family is dealing with an elderly relative going into care, moving home, a probate property, or simply a property they’ve been left responsible for, I don't believe thousands of pounds should unnecessarily disappear from the money that person or family needs.

But there was another part of it that didn't sit right with me.

I didn't want our clearance service to simply mean throwing somebody's lifetime of belongings away.

So we do things differently. ❤️

If something can be donated, we donate it.

If furniture could help a family who are starting again with very little, we try to get it to them.

If something can be sold affordably to somebody setting up their first home or living on a tight budget, The Furniture Crew gives it the opportunity to find a new home.

And yes, sometimes things genuinely do have to go to the tip — but for us, that's the last option, not the first.

Because someone's old dining table might be another family's first dining table.

A sofa that somebody no longer needs could be exactly what another family simply can't afford to buy new.

And a house full of belongings shouldn't automatically become a house full of waste.

That's why we've brought together The Moving Crew LTD and The Furniture Crew.

🚚 The Moving Crew takes care of clearing the property.

🪑 The Furniture Crew helps us reuse and rehome as much as possible.

♻️ And we responsibly dispose of what genuinely can't be saved.

It's not just about emptying properties.

It's about making the service affordable for the family we're helping — and then passing that help on to the next family wherever we can.

The Moving Crew LTD × The Furniture Crew ♻️

Giving old belongings a new home, while helping families on both sides of the clearance. ❤️

🏡 Moving into a new build? This is exactly why you want a proper removal company…

Today we’re on a key wait at a beautiful new-build property in Priors hall and protecting your brand-new home starts before we even walk through the door.

At The Moving Crew LTD, we come prepared with:

🏠 Internal floor protection throughout the property
👣 Protective runners from our vans right to your front door — helping prevent mud, dust and building-site debris being walked into your new home
👣 Shoe covers for all staff
📦 Professional moving equipment to protect your belongings
🚚 Fully equipped removal vehicles and experienced crews
✨ Care taken with those freshly painted walls, new flooring and brand-new finishes!

New-build developments can still be dusty and muddy outside — your new carpets and flooring don't need to know about it. 😂

Your move, our mission. 💙
