🔥 Aluminium Fabrication Done Right

At Cooney, we’re all about precision, consistency, and craftsmanship that stands out across every industry — from marine and architectural to industrial, automotive, and superyacht projects.

In the workshop this week, our team took on a detailed aluminium assembly using:

10mm & 3mm tubes
12mm and 25mm machined bosses
Precision‑cut 12mm plate
Locked into a custom jig
Pre‑heated for stability
Expert TIG welding
Welds smoothed to a flawless, superyacht‑grade finish

The result speaks for itself.

Perfect alignment. Perfect welds. Perfect results.

If you need high‑precision aluminium fabrication with a finish that truly stands out, we’d love to help.

✨ Special Projects Spotlight: V&A Museum Christmas Tree ✨
When art meets engineering, magic happens.
We’re proud to have collaborated with artist Anna Lomax to create the Victoria and Albert Museum’s 2024 Christmas installation: “All Lit Up!”
This stunning 5-meter-high sculpture was crafted from precision-engineered stainless steel tubing and shaped using the UK’s only 3D tube bending technology—a capability usually reserved for luxury super-yachts and architectural masterpieces.
From Kettering to one of the world’s leading museums, this project shows what happens when innovation meets creativity.

Great new project just completed in the Victoria and Albert Museum.

We were commissioned by Jailmake to manufacture the tree’s defining feature—a smooth, decreasing spiral structure— it was achieved using our unique three-dimensional tube bending machine available only in the UK at Cooney Marine. This advanced equipment, renowned for its ability to create freeform shapes for world-class marine applications such as precision mirror-polished handrails to luxury super-yacht quality and architectural projects, was essential in delivering the unconventional and seamless texture and design of the Christmas tree.

Our industrial skill and exceptional expertise was harnessed to create multidisciplinary artist and designer Anna Lomax’s bold and playful design.

You’ll be able to see the Christmas tree in the foyer of the Museum from November 26, 2024 until January 5, 2025.
