This was a first for us yesterday. We were helping a disabled customer to move into his new bungalow. When we arrived at his new home, a mains water pipe had burst, as you can see it caused major damage. First of all we had to locate and turn off the water from the meter outside. This stopped the water from filling the place up but alas the damage had already been done. He only viewed the property 2 days previous and all was well. Landlords please make sure that you leave the heating on in your empty properties during these cold weather conditions. It costs a little but saves you a huge repair bill when a frozen pipe bursts and floods your property.
