Final day, returning to chamonix and completing the loop. Top tip, photos in the clouds and lots of advice to give if considering this trip! A whopping 187km and 9,450m of elevation. Proud.

A lucky dry ish first 2 hours of ascent, followed by the rest of the day with torrential rain, icy wind on tops and paths turned to streams. Some people seriously underdressed, I hope everyone stayed safe. We may have 12kg packs; but we have now worn all our layers and are very grateful for the reserves!

Some valuable lessons being learnt this trip, and he most incredible views and the minimal sleep that you can imagine 😂 Big day today and ended with a delightful 700m steep ascent to our lodgings.

Day 4 already! Dust, rivers, snacks, smiles, sunshine and cow bells. An unfortunate route error up a slurry path, delicious bulgar wheat salad and dassies to greet us at the refugio.

Another epic day of glorious weather, inflamed knees and gorgeous views. A packed lunch we couldn’t stop complimenting & cow bells we’ll never forget. With great ups there must be great downs ⛰️🥾🤪

I have just welcomed home a lovely family who are back from the most incredible Australian adventure, and I had to share a little glimpse in this reel.
