With the very hot weather set to continue to the weekend, our road sweeping programme at surface dressing sites is being adjusted. Chippings will remain on newly treated roads for longer to help protect the surface from high temperatures.
Please take note of warning signs on site and take extra care when driving through these sites.
The teams will continue to start work earlier in the day or defer and reschedule sites to avoid peak heat conditions.
Please reduce your speed when travelling through these sites, as loose chippings may still be present.
Slower speeds help protect the new road surface and improve safety for all road users.
We will endeavor to minimise noise and disruption for nearby residents.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
