Yesterday we marked the departure of the first Aer Lingus service between Inverness and Dublin, operated by Emerald Airlines.

It was great to see the new route get underway, restoring a direct connection between the Highlands and the Republic of Ireland, while also opening up onward connectivity through Dublin.

A big thank you to everyone involved in supporting the launch and to all passengers who travelled on the inaugural service!

Yesterday marked 10 years since KLM UK first launched flights between Inverness and Amsterdam.

Over the past decade, the route has helped connect the Highlands to destinations across Europe and beyond through Amsterdam Schiphol, supporting tourism, business travel and global connectivity for the region.

One week to go until the launch of Aer Lingus' new Inverness–Dublin service, operated by Emerald Airlines.

Starting next week, the twice-weekly route will restore direct connectivity between the Highlands and the Republic of Ireland, while also providing onward access through Dublin to Aer Lingus’ wider network, including North American destinations.

Staffing issues at Inverness Airport continue and will necessitate temporary closures over the coming weeks. We will try, wherever possible, to plan closures around our flight schedules – however this may not be possible and some flights may be affected. We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause.

Passengers should contact their airline directly for latest flight information.

Due to unforeseen staffing issues combined with our requirement to comply with legal limits on the time that air traffic control staff can work without a break, we have had to schedule some closures to our air traffic service at Inverness Airport. This will impact some flights from Friday 1 May through to Sunday 3 May inclusive.

Wherever possible, we try to plan such closures around our flight schedule to limit any impact on passengers. Unfortunately, this has not been possible on this occasion, and the closures will affect some scheduled flights.

Passengers should contact their airline directly for the latest information on their flight. We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause.
