TUI flights departing Glasgow were forced to stop at Prestwick to refuel last night due to "fuel supply challenges". ✈️

Also, The Herald reports that flights from Edinburgh bound for Paris and Dubai diverted to Manchester for fuel before continuing their journeys.

The disruption is linked to fuel supply challenges, with Edinburgh and Glasgow airports not connected to the Exolum pipeline network that supplies major airports including Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Manchester. Instead, jet fuel is transported to these airports by road.

A spokesperson for Edinburgh Airport said: “A fuel supplier is currently working to resolve an issue affecting several airlines. The airport is assisting where possible, and passengers are advised to check directly with their airline for the latest information on their flight.”
