Caley Cruisers have been offering boating holidays on Loch Ness and the Caledonian Canal since 1970 and we celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2020! We are super excited about this!

If you have had one of our afternoon teas you will know how delicious Grazey Days food is. Grazey Days by the Canal opened this morning between Tomnahurich and Torven Swing bridge on the Caledonian Canal. Just 10 minutes cruise from here and definately worth the stop while waiting for the bridges to open.

Last, but by no mean least meet our Maintenance Team and Boat Yard Assistants.

Out the back they are refuelling boats, washing decks, carrying out repairs, moving boats and generally keeping everything running smoothly back of house.

What ever the weather they are making sure every boat is prepared to the highest standard.

Much of what they do is behind the scenes, but their hard work is essential to keep our fleet looking at its best!

Aidan is fast becoming our repair master, whether it is fixing, mending or finding a solution to ensure the boat is ready to go back out.

Thank you Aidan, Gav, Diarmuid and Steven for your willingness to get stuck in and get the not so glamourous jobs done!

George, Gordon and Bill are the ones who make sure you are confident, comfortable and most importantly safe before you head off on your adventure.

There is just one problem...they are incredibly camera shy and we could not find one picture of them! So we asked Chat GPT to creat a cartoon based on our descriptions. You will have to use your imagination a little, but we think it captures their personalities well! 😂

Between them they have decades of experience on the water. Whether it is George's lifetime on the sea, Gordon's expertise as a harbour pilot or Bill's calm, reassuring approach, you are in very safe hands.

Keeping on top of the cleanliness of our boats is a constant challenge that is expertly managed by our Housekeeping Supervisors, Belle and Bethany, along side our fantastic contract cleaners Keri’s Klean Team.

With boats arriving and departing throughout the week, there is always plenty to do. Belle and Bethany coordinate every turn around, making sure every boat is clean, checked and beautifully presented.

And then there is laundry....it really is never ending!!! From bedding and towels to cleaning clothes and engineers overalls, there is always a load waiting. It is one of those behind the scenes jobs that guests rarely see, but it is a huge part of keeping our boats fresh, comfortable and ready for all your adventures.

This job takes an incredible eye for detail and we are so grateful to you both.
